What is Recovery Café Longmont?
Our mission is to be a community of refuge and healing for people in recovery. But, what does that mean? Simply put, we understand the process is more complicated than just making the decision to be recovered. Being stable for a day or a week doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll stick for the long haul – and Recovery Café Longmont is about the long haul. That’s why we work hard to provide our members with a healthy, stable community – a place to belong. Because while we teach our members the skills to stay recovered, it’s our relationships that support us through our darkest times.
As we see it, everyone is in recovery from something. Whether you are looking for support for mental health challenges, substance use, isolation, trauma, or other life challenges, there is a place for you here. There are many pathways to recovery. We provide a safe environment to experience and grow in whatever process rings true to the individual. In addition to Recovery Circles, the Café is home to several outside support groups including Alcoholics Anonymous, SMART Recovery, and Crystal Meth Anonymous.
Our primary approach to addressing recovery is providing a loving community. Within this community, we offer peer support, education, resource referrals, recreational activities, shared meals, and programs of accountability.
