Longmont Public Media, Longmont’s Non Profit Public Access TV and Media group, today announced that Sergio R. Angeles has been appointed as Longmont Public Media’s general manager.
This leadership appointment is effective immediately and follows the decision for Scott Converse to step down as general manager.
“I’m very pleased that Sergio decided to accept our offer to become our full time general manager. He’s been running the day to day tasks of LPM for the last several months as our station manager, and doing an outstanding job of it. It just made sense for him to take on the overall operation as our General Manager. I’ll still be involved on the Board of Directors but I’m no longer going to be involved in any of the day to day. I’m really looking forward to seeing what kind of great shows, video and services Sergio, his team, the membership of the LPM and the community as a whole come up with during the next year”.
Angeles said, “I’m incredibly honored and excited to lead Longmont Public Media. Longmont Public Media is incredibly important in Longmont’s media and information infrastructure and I’m looking forward to working with our community to develop, produce, and distribute content for Longmont by Longmont.”
