Longmont Public Media Launches Search for New Executive Director

Sergio Angeles will remain with LPM as Director of Operations

LONGMONT, CO — September 21, 2026 — Longmont Public Media is beginning a search for its next Executive Director as Sergio Angeles prepares to move from that position into a new role as Director of Operations. The Board of Directors expects the new executive director to begin by March 1, 2027.

The change will expand LPM’s leadership capacity, with Angeles overseeing daily operations, media production facilities, and technology, while the next executive director leads organizational strategy, community engagement, and long-term financial sustainability.

“Sergio has helped build the foundation that makes Longmont Public Media possible,” said Tim Waters, President of the LPM Board of Directors. “Keeping his experience and technical leadership at LPM while bringing in a new executive director gives us the capacity to strengthen both our day-to-day services and our future as a community resource.”

LPM’s programs and services will continue throughout the transition. Members, creators, partners, and the City of Longmont will retain access to digitization services, television programming, live streaming, content studios, media education classes, and makerspace facilities.

The Board is seeking a leader who can build on LPM’s work, deepen community relationships, and secure the resources needed to sustain and grow the organization. A position description and application instructions will be posted at longmontpublicmedia.org/executivesearch in the coming weeks.

Questions about the position or search process should be sent to executivesearch@longmontpublicmedia.org. Please direct all search inquiries by email; no phone calls.
