Photography 101: Getting Started with Your Camera
Photography 101 is an introductory class designed for beginners who want to move beyond auto mode and start taking more intentional, confident photos. This class covers the core fundamentals of photography in a clear, hands-on way, whether you’re using a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or advanced point-and-shoot.
Students will learn how exposure works by breaking down aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, and how these settings affect brightness, motion, and depth of field. We’ll also cover basic composition techniques, lighting fundamentals, and how to think creatively when framing a shot.
By the end of the class, participants will have a stronger understanding of how their camera works, how to control their settings, and how to start developing their own photographic style.
