𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘉𝘌𝘛𝘈 2023

𝐀) 𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 – introduce and show a beat *let their art speak for them first instead of using words* NO EXPLANATIONS (if you don’t make music – play a song that you’re vibing with right now / that represents you / etc different themes)

𝐀#) 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐲𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫 – people add their name to a hat or drum when they arrive – 6 names are pulled to get 10 mins of showing off a track / performing / etc with feedback from the group

𝐁) 𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝟒 𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 – each person gets 10 mins to add a layer to a beat then passes the project
hosted from the main studio in place for instrument garden installation – producers sit at the computer lyricists and instrumentalists welcome to seek producer help for layer addition

𝐁#) 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 – 1 hour where a producer and MC/host steer the session and guide everyone through making their own layer, teaching the audience in the process about what’s happening (ideal for audiences with less producers or more kids, and a good opportunity to practice the school workshop)

𝐂) 𝐦𝐮𝐝𝐩𝐢𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 – producers jam on synths with the intention of recording mudpies, build mudpies into sample pack, then take home and work those samples into a beat to turn in next time

𝐂#) 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐞 – a pre determined sample pack (such as one from a school workshop or camp) is handed out when the producers arrive and everyone goes into headphones for the hour to work on a song with those samples (ideal for 100% producer audiences or audiences with a fair ratio of producer:nonproducer who can sit in with the producers for the sessions)

𝐃) 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 – variety of lessons from national and local producer educators within network, booking at least 3 major educators per year

𝟔𝟑𝟎𝐏𝐌 – 𝟕𝐏𝐌 • 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐓 𝐒𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒
Boredomfighters is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to helping kids make beats, and creating modern music opportunities for people who are young and disadvantaged. We bring music studio workshops called The Instrument Garden to schools, festivals, businesses, and really anywhere we can make some noise. We guide them through the process of producing a song from start to finish and empower them to recognize their talents and express their truth. Impact sessions will be time to discuss things we’re currently working on as Boredomfighters in Longmont & opportunities available.

We are actively hiring for:
– producers
– emcees
– vendor booths @ events
– outreach experts

& seeking volunteers from all ages and skill sets!

*Great time for people to arrive if they want to join the team but can’t make the music sessions.
